Fundraising Intern

 

Your Responsibilities: 

  • Data collection and research including tracking all forms of funding sources 

  • Draft written materials for internal and external communications and prepare mass mailings 

  • Draft, proofread, and edit letters of intent and grant proposals 

  • Contribute to the strategy, production, and analysis of fundraising campaigns 

  • Assist with updating and maintaining The Climate Club donor database 

  • Research potential donor prospects and assist with donor outreach and cultivation 

  • Attend and actively participate in staff meetings 

Required Qualifications and Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience 

  • Prior experience in a non-profit setting a plus 

  • Prior relevant coursework preferred 

  • Creativity and initiative to follow through on projects 

  • Effective communication and writing skills 

  • Have interest in either one or more of the following disciplines: climate, sustainability, public health, environmental health sciences, and environmental health policy. 

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team 

  • Can work well under tight deadlines and produce a high volume of work while maintaining desired content quality 

  • Must work well in a culturally diverse environment

Finance Intern

 

Your Responsibilities: 

  • Research grants and other fundraising possibilities 

  • Assist with writing grant proposals  

  • Assist in developing a sustainable financial plan for The Climate Club 

Required Qualifications and Education: 

  • BA in public health, nonprofit management, social work, or a related discipline  

  • Passionate about working for a start-up nonprofit organization 

  • Excellent written English communication skills 

  • Strong organizational skills 

  • Self-motivated, able to work independently with limited guidance, as well as part of a team 

  • Must work well in a culturally diverse environment  

  • Relevant experience: 0-2 years. Experience with fundraising or working for a nonprofit is preferred.
